This easy to perform trek to Malana leads us through picturesque and pleasing landscape, birch forests, rhododendron bushes, lush meadows which offer awe-inspiring views – from the snow-capped Dhaula Dhar to the south, to Hanuman Tibba at the head of the Solang Valley and the Ghalpo peaks in Lahaul. The appropriate periods to visit this are, March to June and May to Nov. The permission must be obtained by the head of the villagers to visit the important places in the village. There are nearly 1100 persons in the village.
